Anyone else having the Monday morning blues? With a presentation in a few hours and hours upon hours of class and work today, I most definitely am. I'm already day dreaming about being back at home in Massachusetts with my family for Christmas in just a few few weeks.

My family got a bit of a head start on the Christmas preparation since one my of favorite parts of the holiday is picking out our Christmas tree! It's just a bit too late to go to a tree farm when I get home around the 20th of December, so instead we avoided all malls and went on Black Friday.

A festive outing also gave me the best excuse to break out my buffalo plaid jacket that I've been saving since I bought it over the summer. I found this ah-mazing coat at a Second Time Around store on Long Island with all the tags still on it as well as the back flap still sewn shut (aka unworn!!). I got an amazing deal and have been not-so-patiently waiting to wear it ever since then. It seems a little too bright for NYC, but it's perfect for a New England Christmas Tree Farm!

Black Friday is here and I have to say, the sales are pretty great this year. For those of you out braving the malls and shopping districts of this country, good luck. I'll be doing all my shopping from my comfortable couch with leftover pumpkin pie in hand.

The distinction between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is growing smaller every year and this year there are already plenty of online sales going on! I've shared a few of my favorite sales and picks from those sales below, but on top of those you must check out Hallie Wilson's Cyber Monday Tips. My two biggest tips are think about shipping costs and plan out your big-ticket purchases. Almost every store either has free shipping or free shipping once you hit a certain price threshold. Always hit that price threshold, you can always return things later.

So without further ado here are a few of my favorite sales:

50% off everything at TOBI with code thankful50:

50% off everything at ANN TAYLOR with code celebrate:

50% off sweaters and 40% off everything else at BANANA REPUBLIC with code brfriday:

Up to 60% off at OLD NAVY:

HOLIDAY 2015: Cyber Sales

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Thanksgiving is my favorite time of year. I've been lucky enough to be surrounded by family or friends every year around this time, so even when the rest of my life is crazy they remind me to be grateful for everything I have. This year I'll be spending Thanksgiving with both family and friends sitting around a huge table filled with more food than we could possibly eat and that alone is something we need to step back and remember to be thankful for.

HOLIDAY 2015: Giving Thanks

Wednesday, November 25, 2015
Guys, can we just pause for a moment and think about how close we are to Thanksgiving? SO. CLOSE. I have a midterm this morning and then I'm home free! Not exactly looking forward to tonight's bus ride that will likely be very traffic filled, but the reward of family and puppies on the other side is so worth it.

So here we are with the gift guide I've been looking forward to the most this year. Whenever I start planning back to school or holiday blog posts the first place I turn to for requested posts is my friends, and I have to say this post was very requested.

For all of us college students money is definitely tight, but that doesn't mean we can't get both fun and actually high quality gifts for our friends when the holidays arrive. A meaningful gift doesn't have to break the bank, it just has to be something that you know fits the friend. We all have a friend who's constantly tweeting #ratherbeonACK or the friend who's week revolves around wine Wednesdays (or perhaps even Whine About It) and there is a perfect gift for each of them.

HOLIDAY 2015: Gifts Under $25 For All Your Friends

Does anyone else feel like this weekend flew by? I really needed a low-key weekend which was proved by the fact that I fell asleep on my couch before 7pm Friday night. So, instead of committing to anything I settled in with a bit of Ben & Jerrys and started (finally) watching the final season of HIMYM. Winning Friday night? I think so. Of course, the relaxation didn't last long as I had 6 hours of work Saturday and then went to see my roommate's show Saturday night.

There are only two weeks until Thanksgiving! And incase I haven't said it enough times I'll remind you again: Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. The weather, the food, the family - it's just all my favorite things wrapped into one glorious day.

Holiday 2015: Thanksgiving Day

Despite the above average temperatures it feels like fall is finally starting to dwindle in the city. Halloween ends and it seems like the entire city starts setting up for the holidays right away. The Wollman Rink has been set up for at least a week and all the stores down 5th Ave have all their lights up. I'm just ignoring it all though, because there is no Christmas allowed in my mind until midnight on Thanksgiving.

I hadn't been up to Central Park in months, so instead of sitting inside pretending to get work done a friend and I headed uptown and climbed to some of the best views in the park. We started out with burgers at J.G. Melons, and I have to say they were ah-mazing. Plus, they just opened a Greenwich Village location that is just down the street from me :)

All in all, it was an absolutely perfect fall day and I'll take as many as I can get before winter descends upon us.

You know what I hate pretty much more than anything... Christmas anything before Thanksgiving. Seriously, it's like November 1st comes along and everything's about Starbucks Red Cups and Christmas tunes. Did everyone just forget about Thanksgiving (aka the best Holiday of the year)?

Well, as much as I hate Christmas talk before the end of November, I know the rest of the world seriously appreciates getting ahead with holiday shopping and entertaining ideas. So, as of today I'm kicking of Peachy Keen Holiday 2015!

There's nothing like an amazing weekend to make Monday morning that much harder. When my alarm went off this morning it was a serious jolt back to reality and the business of my upcoming week.
