After coming down from the stress of midterms and projects (as well as a weekend where I could 11 hours), this last week has been pretty great. I've been attempting to get myself into a healthier routine that includes actually eating at home and going to the gym (almost) everyday. Plus, the fall weather has been so beautiful that all I want to do is spend as much time outside

The picture above is from Monday right before the took down our fun NYU sign outside the building all my classes are in. It was parents and alumni weekend so the school looked a little more spirited for a few days, which was very fun while it lasted!

You know those trends that come along that you tell yourself you'll just never understand and could never ever wear? Well, that was how I felt about fringe until just a few weeks ago. I didn't think fringe could ever amount to anything more than a 70s hippie or Gatsy halloween costume. Then I found this amazing sweater over fall break. I swear my best finds come from Saks Off Fifth, and this sweater is no exception.

This all black sweater with leather fringe is honestly one of the most fun things I've ever bought. It's like the sweater version of a twirly party dress and it actually sways when you walk. I may or may not also tend to dance around my apartment when wearing it as well. Plus, unlike a twirly party dress this sweater + leather legging combo feels like I'm staying in pajamas all day and what could be better on a Monday?

Keep scrolling down to shop this amazing sweater and some of my other fringe favorites!

OUTFIT: FRINGE BENEFITS

Real fall weather is here and I've been running back to my cozy fall favorites. I constantly find myself turning to a combination of long sweaters and soft leather (or pleather let's be real) leggings and pants. It's definitely the easiest combination, but I wouldn't really call it a slump as much as a uniform.

You know those days when you're inspired to dream further and work harder than you ever have? Well, Friday was one of those days for me. I got the chance to attend NYU Stern MBA Luxury & Retail Club's Redefining Luxury Conference. The conference featured Mary Beech, the CMO of Kate Spade, the founders of Soul Cycle, and Rebecca & Uri Minkoff. While the big names drew me into the conference I honestly didn't realize how inspiring these people really would be.

Hi all! I apologize for the disappearing act I've played this last week. Fall break fell in the middle of midterms, so whenever I wasn't studying or in group meetings I was actively avoiding the internet and soaking up all the fall I could get it. While I was only home for a short 3-day trip I was able to do so much including a day at my favorite apple orchard. My family has been going to the same orchard since we moved to Massachusetts seven years ago, and I couldn't want to go this year since I missed out while I was abroad last fall.

So true to form the weather has completely changed about three times since I last took outfit shots. We've gone from brutally hot to 50s and hurricane-ing to perfect fall weather today. While I'm definitely partial to the beautiful weather right now, the freezing & rainy days allowed me to break out the layers and also wear all black without feeling too depressing.

TGIF everyone! I'm excited this Friday to start this new Friday Five series that you'll be seeing at the end of most weeks. A lot happens in the week that definitely warrants being mentioned but doesn't exactly make for an entire blog post, so this is my way of sharing the little things that really make each week fun. Now I'll be honest. Not to state the obvious, but not every week of a college student's life is fun or exciting, so if you don't hear from me assume I'm deep in a study guide somewhere.
