I've been to six different countries and countless cities throughout my life, but there is honestly no city like New York. There is something about New York that makes walking through hoards of people and smelling car exhaust all the time seem magical. My mom had never understood why I love New York so much and tells me it isn't that great, but I can never get enough. Even though I've been to New York many times in my life it's never any less amazing or alluring.

Last weekend I went to New York to see a few colleges, explore a few new neighborhoods, and do some much needed shopping. I went to SoHo and Greenwich Village for the first time and fell in love. I also went to Topshop as well as a few other little places that I can't get around Boston. I can't wait until I go back to New York, but for now I'll just have to look through my pictures over and over again!

Happy birthday to me!
With all the craziness in my life right now I've hardly had a moment to even think about my birthday, but I plan to slow down a little bit today to spend some time with my family and friends.

On my birthday each year I love looking back at old pictures. It's always hard to grasp that just a few years ago I was beginning high school, and a few years before that I was attached at the hip to my American Girl dolls (yes plural, I was obsessed!). Time flies, and while I can't wait for the future I also love looking back at the past!

For my 8th birthday I begged my mom to do my hair up in these fancy braid twists with butterfly clips. My favorite accessory was also Kit, my American Girl doll. Side note, I was most definitely a little frustrated with the picture taking by this point.
I love the toothless smile from this birthday, and the puka beads that I thought were the coolest things ever!
Live every other kid my age I was obsessed with Claire's. When my sister got me this mini-backpack there are clearly no words to describe my emotions....
Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

Blazer Topshop, Bracelet Topshop, Sweater Topshop, Top Topshop, Belt Topshop, Flats Topshop, Wallet Topshop, Skirt Topshop

While I am slightly behing on my fashion week shows, I have seen pictures from Topshop's Spring/Summer 2013 show in London earlier today. I've always loved how bold, but simple, Topshop's clothes are. They are extremely covetable for every season.

I have also been spending a little bit too much time on Topshop's website! Since I'll be in New York next weekend I will definitely be making a stop to go shopping at Topshop. I'll be looking for classic and simple fall pieces to transition into the cold weather we get in Boston.

My life gets taken over by school so easily. While only in my third week of school I already seem to have a million things on my plate. However, every once in a while I have to force myself to take a little break from all things academic. Hopefully I'll still be posting on here regularly now that I've adjusted back to 5 am mornings and late nights full of homework.

Now that I've told you about my very unfabulous life, I want to go back to New York Fashion Week. I know I'm behind the world and everyone has moved on to LFW, but I'm still oogling over my favorite shows from last week.

Among my favorites were Rebecca Minkoff, Elie Tahari, and J.Crew. I loved classic spring colors and looks full of floral and bright patterns from these designers! Below are some of my favorite looks!

Also, on a somewhat related note (well related in my mind!), I will be going to New York this weekend to see a few colleges. While I'm a little late for fashion week clothes will be on my mind! I will be staying at a hotel in SoHo and I can't wait to explore during the short time I'll be there!
