Getting to go home to New England for the last couple weeks of August has been the most amazing blessing. Anyone who has spent a summer in New York knows the city becomes stifling in these last weeks before fall and I cannot say I'm sad about missing them.
Instead of sweating my way through New York I've been able to spend days exploring new spots like Newport, complete with sea breezes that allow me to pull out a few of my new fall purchases. For now it pairs perfectly with shorts and sandals, but in a few months you'll see me pairing it with jeans and a leather jacket for a perfect fall look.
