When & Wear: sales

The day is here when you should shop til you drop, or be like me and start Cyber Monday a bit early. I've never really been about the Black Friday lines and craziness, but I do love a good sale. Black Friday is one of the few times of the year when you can get in season items on sale. That means you can tell yourself everything you bought is worth it :)

My plan for Black Friday shopping is always to focus on brands with good quality and the best deals. Today is not the day to be looking through racks at Forever 21 and other cheap stores, instead focus on the spots you usually spend way too much money at per piece. Below I've added some of my favorite pieces from this year's best Black Friday sales!

August went so quickly that I completely forgot that this weekend was Labor Day Weekend. Since I'll be in Madrid on Monday I won't really be celebrating, but that doesn't mean I can't do some last minute shopping! When I was little I used to use the Labor Day sales to convince my parents to buy me clothes before school started so I had the perfect first day of school outfit. Not much has changed since I'm still using the sales this weekend to stock up on my fall favorites.

Here are a few of my favorite sales for the weekend:

Nordstrom has up to 40% off on both fall and summer items (think another round of the anniversary sale :))!

Shopbop has added hundreds of new items to their sale section. I'm obsessed with their dress and shoe selection (per usual).

Gap has up to 40% off! I am definitely using this sale to stock up on my favorite jeans, including the boyfriend jeans above.

J.Crew Factory is 40-60% off everything in stock. While I try to be wary of the quality of Factory purchases I can never resist buying up my favorites from last season (like this sweater) for such cheap prices!

To get great deals on designer pieces definitely check out Revolve Clothing's Labor Day Sale. Pieces are up to 70% off! I love this dress and these jeans.

Express is 40% everything! I want this babydoll dress to pair with boots and an army jacket when the weather gets colder.

I think one of the best times to find deals without dealing with crazy Black Friday sales is right after Christmas! Sadly, these sales usually don't last long so head to your shopping center or cozy up with your computer asap to take advantage of the great discounts!

Some of my favorites...

Asos has has up to 50% off for the next few days.

Forever 21 has 50% off boots and booties until Jan 1st! I love this pair.

Old Navy has pieces up to 60% off until the end of December. This coat is perfect for cold months ahead!

Gap has a great selection up to 50% off including this adorable sweater.

Zara is having an incredible sale and I'm dying to order this coat.

Urban Outfitters is doing $15 off 75$, 25$ of $100, etc (All BDG are also $39 right now! I love these and these)

So I know it isn't Christmas yet, but my mind is already fast forwarding to the hundreds of after christmas sales that I will be searching out.

In the few days after Christmas you can find some of the best sales, even better than Black Friday at some stores. If you have things to return or some extra spending money from presents I would highly suggest heading to the mall or curling up with your computer.

Some of the best sales I've already seen are at J.Crew Factory and Tobi. At J.Crew factory there is 60% all final sale items through December 31. While sometimes final sale can be a little daunting if you know your size at J.Crew and completely trust the brand (like I do), go for it! Look on their website to see if there are any factory stores near you, because honestly you cannot miss this sale. Tobi is having a great sale until the end of December as well. The whole site is 40% if you join (which just means giving them your email).

I already know that I'll be buying a few things from both of these places before December is over. However, until then here are a few of my favorites from each store.
